Brgy Dao, Oras, Eastern Samar– The Local Government Unit (LGU) of Can- avid, together with the 14 th Infantry (Avenger) Battalion facilitated the conduct of the 2-Day Retooled Community Support Program (RCSP) Team Orientation/Workshop at the Social Hall of ESSU Can-avid Campus last November 05-06, 2019. The activity is a part of the preparation for the immersion of the RCSP Team in the barangays of Pandol, Boco and Balagon.
The activity was participated in by the cluster/agency members of MTF-
ELCAC, Members of Sangguniang Bayan, the Barangay Chairmen and
Sangguniang Kabataan Chairperson.
The Opening Ceremony was conducted on the first day with the CO of 14IB as the keynote speaker. The MSWDO discussed the Family Assessment Tool followed by the lectures of 14IB on CPP/NPA/NDF’s Insurgency Strategy and Knowing the Enemy. One of the Formel Rebels (FR) also revealed/shared the story of his experience while he is still active in the terrorist movement.
On the second day, the RCSP Operational Framework/Methodology, its Key Tasks and Objectives, RCSP Organization and Timeline and Way Ahead, followed by the RCSP Operators Guide for the immersion of the RCSP Teams in the barangays were presented to the participants. Moreover, Mr Marvin John B Calumpiano, the MLGOO discussed the RCSP Workshop Mechanics and followed by a workshop proper for the participants. The activity culminated with the participants equipped with the necessary knowledge prior the immersion proper of the RCSP Team.
