TACLOBAN CITY, Nov. 14 (PIA) - The Municipal Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (MTF-ELCA) was officially set in place in Rosario, Northern Samar on November 13, 2019.
In a joint meeting, the Municipal Development Council and the Municipal Peace and Order Council of Rosario, jointly passed a resolution for the creation of Rosario MTF-ELCAC.
The creation of the MTF-ELCAC was preceeded by orientation and briefings by the Regional Task Force-ELCAC 8 Situation Awareness and Knowledge Management Cluster led by NICA, together with the LGOO DILG, and NSPO.
The topics included EO 70, NTF70 Call to Action and Retooled Community Support Program.
In the same occasion, the MTF-ELCAC reiterated its stand declaring the CPP/NPA/NDF as Persona Non-Grata (PNG), which they have issued months ago.
The joint MPOC-MDC meeting was attended by 52 LGU department heads, Punong Barangays, Community Service Officers, and SB members, led by Rosario Mayor Gerardo Miranda and Vice Mayor Vicente Arillo Jr.
Also present were LGOO Malou Ortega of DILG-NSamar; MLGOO Cecelio Abesamis; OIC Chief of Police Plt Lyndon Dagalea; Bravo Coy 52nd IB Detachment Comdr Sgt Erwin Din; and 803rd Reg'l Mobile Force (RMFB8) Opns PNCO Allan Pofnias Jr. (PIA-8)
