TERROR PLOT PREVENTED. While conducting security operation, troops of the Bravo Company, 33rd Infantry Battalion, Philippine Army and 43rd Special Action Company, 4th Special Action Battalion, PNP Special Action Force encountered an undetermined number of Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters in Barangay Tukanalipao, Mamasapano, Maguindanao at 9am on November 9, 2019.
Firefight ensued but, due to the superior firepower of the government forces supported by artillery fire mission and air strike operation, the bandits were forced to withdraw and escape bringing along their casualties with them.
