CAMP SIONGCO, Maguindanao – Three persons were arrested in two separate law enforcement operations by the combined forces of JTFC and 6ID, PNP and PDEA in Joint Task Force Central area of responsibility.

Joint elements of 37th Infantry Battalion and Palimbang Municipal Police arrested a certain Jhoel Benito a.k.a. Joel with outstanding murder cases with criminal case numbers 18-4682 and 19-5128.

During his arrest, Benito was caught in his possession a calibre .45 colt pistol with magazine and ammunition around 5:50 p.m. at Sitio Umbo, Barangay Baranayan in Palimbang, Sultan Kudarat on Wednesday, November 20, 2019.

On the other hand, the arresting teams from 34th Infantry Battalion, Alamada Municipal Police and PDEA-12 implemented a search warrant to Tima Pedro targeting his residences at Sitio Tabunan and Sitio Maracabac in Brgy Guiling, Alamada North Cotabato yesterday, November 21, 2019.

The operating troops were able to arrest Ansari Pedro, 26, married, a resident of Brgy Guiling, and Maulana Decampong Macadiar, 20, married, resident of Brgy Mapurok, at 9:00 a.m.

Seized from them were one M16 rifle, one homemade shotgun, 2 rifle grenades, one hand grenade, assorted magazines, 21 small sachets of suspected “shabu” weighing a total of 4.2 grams with market value of P25,000, 2 Kilograms of marijuana with market value of P10,000 and one roll marijuana seeds.

Jhoel Benito was brought to Palimbang Municipal Police Station while Ansari Pedro and Maulana Decampong Macadiar were brought to Alamada Municipal Police Station for proper disposition and filing of appropriate charges against them.

JTF Central and 6th Infantry Division Commander, Maj. Gen. Diosdado C. Carreon, commended the troops for their continuing dedication to support the law enforcement operations to go after the criminals in Central Mindanao.
