Troops conduct operation to neutralize fleeing bandits

Eight soldiers were wounded while the Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG) suffered undetermined number casualties during a firefight in the hinterlands of Sulu, a top military official said Friday.

Lt. Gen. Cirilito Sobejana, the Western Mindanao Command (Westmincom) chief, said the clash took place Wednesday in Barangay Buhanginan, Patikul, Sulu.
