COTABATO CITY | Ms. Katherine Kramer of Geneva Call paid courtesy call this morning to Minister Mohagher Iqbal of the Ministry of Basic, Higher and Technical Education of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).
Geneva Call is an international humanitarian organization that advocates the protection of civilians particularly in conflict-affected areas.
It is presently undertaking a world-wide research study that aims to improve the policies and guidelines of the protection of civilians in armed conflicts.
During their conversation, Minister Iqbal who was delighted on the visit of Ms. Kramer responded to the queries in regard to the MILF policies, guidelines and experiences in the history. These include the subjects and issues on humanitarian assistance, displacements and due processes.
The MILF chair of peace implementing panel minister Iqbal have had numerous meetings and encounters with several INGO/NGO’s that advocate and promote the safety of civilians and humanitarian development.
