CAMP GONZALO SIONGCO, Awang, Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao (DWDD) – A notorious bomber of the Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters (BIFF) was neutralized last October 6, 2018.



Norodin Taib was killed during the conduct of support to law enforcement operation of the combined troops of 601st Infantry Brigade at vicinity Sitio Lab, Brgy Kuloy, Shariff Aguak, Maguindanao.

While the troops were moving towards at the house of the suspected bomber with more or less five individuals scampered towards different directions, but one of them threw a homemade hand grenade which prompted the troops to neutralize the said suspect.

Said suspects are involved in the bombings at Isulan, Sultan Kudarat last August 28 and September 2, 2018.

The government forces also recovered one improvised explosive device, two improvised hand grenades, three cellphones and subversive documents.

The operation was launched after concerned civilians reported the presence of the notorious bombers in the area, said Brigadier General Diosdado C. Carreon, 601st Brigade Commander.

Joint Task Force Commander Major General Cirilito E. Sobejana commended the 601st Brigade for the neutralization of another BIFF member from their law enforcement support operation, who is responsible for bombing incidents in Central Mindanao.

We will continue to conduct military operations with the assistance of the Philippine National Police, the local government, and the civilians to stop them from doing their terroristic activities, Major General Sobejana added. 6ID Kampilan / MCAG
