CAMP MAJOR CESAR L. SANG-AN, Pulacan, Labangan, Zamboanga Del Sur (DWDD) – The first ever Regional Youth Leadership Summit (RYLS) was successfully held at Camp Cesar L Sangh-An in Pulacan, Labangan, Zamboanga Del Sur.

   

The three-day summit aimed to empower youth as advocates of peace and development, capacitate them in leadership and peace-building, and to organized a contingent for National YLS.

The activity was graced by Col. Benjamin G. Batara Jr., Chief of Staff of 1st Infantry Division, as guest of honor and speaker, Lt. Col. Vladimir Villanueva, Civil Military Operations Battalion Commander, and Lt. Col. Virgilio C. Hamos, Assistant Chief of Staff for CMO, G7.

“I hope that you will internalize that leadership always involve service. As a leader there is always accountability in your part.” Said Col. Batara.

   

Kia Rose Realis, one of the participant and contingent from Iligan city said that, “We hope that we will be mold more by this summit, to become a great leader and role model in our communities and to the nation.”

RYLS were participated by selected youth from provinces of Lanao del Sur, Lanao del Norte, Zamboanga del Sur, Zamboanga Sibugay and Zamboanga del Norte.

Twenty, out of sixty participants were muslims and contingent from Lanao del Sur and Lanao del Norte.

During the Cultural Night, the participants showcased their talents thru cultural presentations, dances, drama excerpt, comical skits, cheers and yells.
