From DWDD AFP Civil Relations Service Radio Website (Jun 29): RECEIVED AND BLESSED | AFP acquires two brand-new light lift fixed-wing aircrafts
CLARK AIRBASE, Pampanga (DWDD) – General Carlito Galvez Jr., Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), sits in the cockpit of one of the two NC212i light lift fixed-wing aircrafts turned-over to the Philippine Government on Tuesday, 26 June 2018 in Clark Air Base, Pampanga.
Defense and military officials, led by National Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana, accepted the two brand-new NC212i planes from Indonesia’s state-owned aircraft manufacturer PT Dirgantara Indonesia, which won the bidding for the project in 2014.
The arrival of the two light lift fixed-wing aircrafts, acquired through the AFP modernization program, boosted the Philippine Air Force’s inventory of medium and light-lift aircraft.
