An alleged member of the terrorist Abu Sayyaf Group was arrested in Zamboanga City Thursday, police said.
Wahab Salapuddin, alias Abu Damdam, was nabbed during the law enforcement operation in Barangay Sangali at around 5:45 p.m., Police Regional Office 9 (PRO9) said.
The suspect is facing charges of kidnapping and serious illegal detention.
Salapuddin is now detained at Zamboanga City Police Station 3.
