From DWDD AFP Civil Relations Service Radio Website (Jun 29): CSAFP visits casualties in Samar misencounter
TACLOBAN CITY, Leyte (DWDD) – Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Chief of Staff General Carlito Galvez Jr. consoles one of the nine wounded policemen he visited at the Eastern Visayas Regional Medical Center in Tacloban City, Leyte on Wednesday, 27 June 2018.
In his visit, Gen. Galvez personally apologized to the survivors of the misencounter between soldiers and policemen in the morning of June 25, in Sitio Lonoy, Barangay San Roque, Sta Rita, Samar that resulted to the death of six police personnel.
The AFP Chief, together with Philippine National Police Chief Police Director General Oscar Albayalde, also attended the wake to pay respects and condole with the families of the killed police personnel. Photos by SSg Randulf Obinque PAOAFP / MCAG
