SUMMARY

On September 1, 2017, a firefight between the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and New People’s Army (NPA) ensued in the Municipality of Arakan, North Cotabato.

1. Number of Affected Families / Persons

To date, 238 families or 1,190 persons have been affected in Arakan, North Cotabato in Region XII (see Table 1).

2. Status of Affected Families/Persons

Three (3) Evacuation Centers are currently open with all 238 families or 1,190 Persons staying inside.
