From Update Philippines (Sep 10): BRP Davao del Sur delivers heavy equipment for Marawi rehabilitation
Philippine Navy’s Tarlac-class landing platform dock BRP Davao del Sur (LD-602) on Sunday, September 10 delivered at the Port of Iligan in Iligan City military heavy equipment to be used for the rehabilitation of Marawi City.
Among the heavy equipment are payloader and back hoe.
According to Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Western Mindanao Command (WESMINCOM) Commanding General Lieutenant General Carlito Galvez these heavy equipment will help in creating temporary shelters for families displaced by the ongoing battle against terrorists in Marawi City.

Presidential Spokesperson Ernesto Abella on Friday, September 8 said the construction of temporary shelters in the 9-hectare Transitional Shelter Site provided by the Marawi City Government started on that day.
He said the team in charge arrived in Marawi City on Thursday, September 7 to facilitate the necessary coordination for the start of the construction.
As of September 7, 7 pm 653 terrorists were already killed. 145 were killed on the government side.
“Those killed by the terrorists from the civilian sector, as well as those rescued remains the same at 45 and 1,728, respectively,” AFP spokesperson Brigadier General Restituto Padilla, Jr. said.
