From the Philippine News Agency (Jun 21): Troopers, ASG bandits clash anew in Sulu

Troopers from the 32nd Infantry Battalion have encountered an undetermined number of Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG) bandits during patrol operations at Barangay Pansul, Patikul town, Sulu Tuesday afternoon.

The clash, which is still ongoing as of this posting, took place 2:20 p.m.

"Said armed confrontation is still ongoing as of this press time with no casualty reported on the government side while undetermined on the enemy as of this moment," Western Mindanao Command spokesperson Major Filemon Tan said.

Other battalions were alerted to reinforce the engaging troops.
