ISABELA, Basilan (DWDD) – The MAYOR LUIS R. BIEL II CAMP was formally dedicated in honor of the first Mayor of the City of Isabela, Basilan Province, Luis “Boboy” Biel II, on the occasion of his 10th death anniversary on March 3, 2016.
The former mayor allowed the free use of the five-hectare lot by the 104th Brigade, Philippine Army.
The 104th “Sultan” Brigade and the Juan S. Alano Lodge 137 of the Free Masons were responsible for the construction of the Mayor’s bust.
The camp’s dedication was held in the presence of Defense Secretary Voltaire Gazmin, DILG Secretary Mel Senen Sarmiento, 104th Brigade commanders led by Col Rolly Bautista and their guests, and the relatives and friends of the Biel family led by Mrs. Delia B Biel. By Josephine Jaron Codilla
