From the Sun Star-Zamboanga (Mar 22): 2 injured in Zamboanga bomb blast
WOMAN and her daughter were wounded in a bomb explosion in the village of Tumaga, Zamboanga City on Tuesday morning, the police reported.
Senior Inspector Helen Galvez, Zamboanga City police spokesperson, said the blast happened around 4:35 a.m., Tuesday, at Sitio Presa Mayor in Barangay Tumaga.
Galvez identified the victims as Merta Lobetaña, 62, and her daughter, Marivic Abne. They were both taken to the hospital.
Police investigation showed that the victims were asleep when an unidentified person lobbed a pillbox-type of explosive into their house.
Galvez said investigation continues to identify the perpetrator.
