The Department of Justice-National Bureau of Investigation (DOJ-NBI) investigating team on Thursday asked the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) to allow them to talk with the witnesses and families of the slain civilians and members of the MILF in the Mamasapano incident.

De Lima said that the second phase of the investigation would be the identification of those responsible for the death of nine members of the 84th Company of the Special Action Force (SAF) near the nipa hut of Marwan in Barangay Pinsandawan.
