From the Sun Star-Zamboanga (Mar 26): NPAs leave behind dead comrades in Compostela
THE body of a slain New People's Army (NPA) rebel was discovered in a remote village of Compostela Valley after he was left behind by his comrades, a top military official said Thursday.
The body was discovered by villagers amid thick vegetation Wednesday at Sitio Totoy in Barangay San Jose, Monkayo.
Lieutenant General Aurelio Baladad, Eastern Mindanao Command (Eastmincom) chief, said the NPA guerilla was left behind after a clash with troops from the Army's 25th Infantry Battalion troops.
