Communists, priests join together to oust Aquino: They want to run the country

From Ang Malaya (Mar 6): Communists, priests join together to oust Aquino: They want to run the country

A movement to oust President Benigno Aquino III was formed on the 40th day after the bloody Mamasapano tragedy, February 5. ‘Noynoy Out Now’ is led by leftist organizations under the Bagong Alyansang Makabayan and priests from different religious groups. The movement is set to stage a rally on March 8.

The movement aims to replace the current administration with a group of people they call ‘Peoples Council for Unity, Reform, and Peace’. Members of the council will be chosen from individuals who will join the movement.

“Don’t be wary of what will come after ousting him. Be wary of what will happen if he stays in power,” one member group of the movement said.

Makabayan consists Alliance of Concerned Teachers, Anakpawis, Bayan Muna, GABRIELA, Kabataan, Katribu, Migrante, Akap-bata, COURAGE, Piston, Kalikasan and Aking Bikolnon.
