MNLF: Misuari calls for unity of all Bangsamoro freedom fighters

Propaganda statement posted to the MNLF Website (Aug 2): Misuari calls for unity of all Bangsamoro freedom fighters

Prof. Dr. Nur Misuari, Chairman of the Central Committee,  Founding Leader of the MNLF and Commander-in-Chief of the Bangsamoro Armed Forces called for the unity of all Bangsamoro freedom fighters in pursuit of the complete independence and national self-determination of the Bangsamoro People from Philippine

BMNews: Chairman Prof. Nur Misuari of the Central Committee of the Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) has called for the unity of all Bangsamoro freedom fighters in pursuit of the complete independence and national self-determination of the Muslim and Animist Lumad natives as well as conscious Christians of Mindanao from Philippine colonialism.

In a big gathering of MNLF political, military and religious leaders as well asgaosbaogbog (solid and steadfast) mass supporters in the MNLF Jabal Nur camp in Mindanao on the occasion of the Eid'l Fitr celebration, he called on the freedom fighters of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) to join hands with the unified MNLF and the Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Movement (BIFM) under Ustaj Umbra Amiril Katu to regain the total freedom and independence of the Moro Nation (Bangsamoro) from the Filipino colonialist land-grabbers of Luzon.

In a recently held meeting in Jeddah from 11-12 June, 2014 between the General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and the MNLF leadership, a pledge of unity and solidarity with the current MNLF freedom struggle under Chairman Nur Misuari became the consensus of the Jeddah Formula forged by the MNLF leaders in attendance. The mainstream MNLF was represented by Foreign Affairs Secretary General Ustaj Abdulbaki Abubakar, Acting Foreign Minister Dr. Mashur al-Jundam, former Secretary General Datu Shakiruddin Bahjin, Bangsamoro Armed Forces (BAF) Vice Chief-of-Staff Abdul Jabar Narra, Documentary Executive Director Yahoodz Simpal and Legal Adviser Atty. Randolph Parcasio.

The other MNLF leaders included the splintered groups -MNLF Executive Council of 15 (EC 15) under former Cotabato City Vice-Mayor Datu Muslimen Sema and MNLF Islamic Council Command (ICC) under Mudjahab Hashim. The rest of the MNLF EC 15 members included Hatimil Hassan and Jimmy Labawan.

All the MNLF attendants to the OIC-MNLF meeting were signatories to the Jeddah Formula. They committed themselves to maintain the unity and to have a unified solid position towards efforts to arrive at a political, just and lasting peaceful solution to the long standing problem of the oppressed Bangsamoro people of Filipino-colonized Mindanao.

In agreement to the solid unification of the MNLF under the leadership of the Central Committee Chairman Prof. Nur Misuari, they all agreed to recognize and support the just call of the MNLF chairman in reverting back to the original demand of complete independence and national self-determination of the Bangsamoro people from the Philippine colonial government. They have clearly noted that the Philippine goverment had betrayed thrice Mindanao peace and deceived the Muslim and Highlander natives as well as conscious Christians of Mindanao by reneging on its commitment in implementing the 1976 Tripoli Peace Agreement, 1987 Jeddah Peace Accord and the 1996 Jakarta Peace Agreements.

Apparently, the present Philippine Aquino government ignored to recognize the 1996 MNLF-OIC-GRP Jakarta Peace Agreements that ignited the September 9-21, 2013 bloody battle between the colonial Philippine military occupation soldiers and the MNLF freedom fighters in Zamboanga City. The AFP-MNLF war resulted in multiple killings of both combatants and civilians, burning of around 10,160 houses and mosques by AFP soldiers, and causing unprecedented humanitarian disaster condition of civilian refugees that until now is not properly given solution by the colonial government.

The united MNLF leaders also called on the OIC leadership to seek the indulgence and attention of the Philippine government to  withdraw the warrant of arrest against Chairman Misuari to allow him to attend the official meetings and other functions abroad of the global pan-Islamic body leading to achieving just and permanent peace in war-torn Mindanao.

Furthermore, the Jeddah Formula also stressed that the leading MNLF signatories shall "maintain oneness of the MNLF under the leadership of Chairman Prof. Nur Misuari," and pledged to assert that the ground leaders would work towards a unified leadership.

SUPPORT THE BANGSAMORO STRUGGLE FOR NATIONAL SELF-DETERMINATION & INDEPENDENCE!

Shown above are the signatures of the senior MNLF leaders who have pledged their unity with the mainstream MNLF under the leadership of Chairman Nur Misuari.
