An Army captain was killed Tuesday in a fierce firefight against 50 members of the Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters in Ungkaya Pukan, Basilan, the military said.
Army spokesman Lt. Col. Randolph Cabangbang identified the
officer as Capt. Harold Camazo, 31, commanding officer of the 11 Scout Ranger
Company of the 4th Ranger Regiment.
The unit is under the Special Operations Command (SOCOM).
“He was killed while he and his troops were conducting
clearing operations against the terrorist groups,” Cabangbang said.
Camazo was a graduate of the Philippine Military Academy

On Monday, three Abu bandits were killed in an encounter
with Army forces in Barangay Mebak in Sumisip town.
