From the Philippine News Agency (Jul 19): Former NAVRESCOM-6 chief off to Haiti for peacekeeping mission

The former commander of the Naval Reserve Command (NAVRESCOM) of the Philippine Navy in Western Visayas has been assigned as member of the international peacekeeping mission in Haiti.

Lt. Commander Venus Gualdaquever left her post as commander of the NAVRESCOM-6 after a two-year stint in the region.

Gualdaquever was succeeded by Lt. Commander Ricardo Salva, who hails from Negros Oriental, during Thursday morning’s turn-over of command ceremony here.

She thanked the Ilonggos for the support they have extended to the programs of NAVRESCOM-6.

The former NAVRESCOM-6 commander said she hopes to return to Western Visayas after her year-long service as a member of the United Nations peacekeeping force in Haiti.
