From the Philippine Information Agency (Feb 1): Mindanao Area Commander visits 4ID
The 4th Infantry “Diamond” Division received the Commander of the Eastern Mindanao Command in front of the Admin building, Jan 31. LtGen Jorge V Segovia, AFP, Commander of Eastern Mindanao Command was given full military honors and was welcomed by all the officers and men of the Division. He visited the Division to get updated on the Internal Peace Security situation in 4ID area. This is also a way for him to directly communicate to his subordinate commanders his operational guidance.
EastMinCom has also operational control over two other Divisions, 6th Infantry Division stationed in Cotabato and 10th Infantry Division stationed in Davao.
LtGen Segovia also visited the Division on April 26, 2012 after his assumption as the Commander of EastMinCom last April 19, 2012. His visit yesterday was his first during the term of Major General Nestor A Añonuevo AFP as Division Commander of 4ID.
Major General Nestor A Añonuevo AFP, Commander, 4ID said, “The Division warmly welcomes LtGen Segovia. This is a good opportunity to synchronize the effort of the Division with that of the Eastern Mindanao Command. This also timely that preparation for the upcoming May Election has already started. With this, the people can be assured of the enhanced services of your Army all year round. Rest assured that your army under the direction of the Eastern Mindanao Commander will exert all efforts to ensure the conduct of a smooth and credible May 2013 election.”
