Naval Forces Eastern MindanaoCOMMO CARLOS V SABARRE PN, the Commander, Naval Forces Eastern Mindanao (NFEM) officially opened the Unilateral Exercise 2023, held at NFEM Conference Room, Naval Station Felix Apolinario, Panacan, Davao City on Thursday, July 13, 2023.
The Command will conduct a Unilateral Exercise among its Operational Control and Tactical Control units to sustain peace and security within Eastern Mindanao. Likewise, the exercise intends to equip, capacitate, test, and increase the professional knowledge, skills, confidence, and readiness among NFEM OPCON/TACON units with the participation of Philippine Navy reservists on interoperability operations.
In his message, CNFEM emphasized the importance of said exercise in refining tactics and strategies, which enables all participating units to test their capabilities in times of threats or disasters. "By working together, our OPCON units and naval reservists will foster a seamless integration that maximizes our collective strength and ensures the security of our nation's maritime domain," he remarked.
Further, the Capability Demonstration will be scheduled on July 20, 2023 that will highlight the participating units' and PN reservists' skills and capabilities in medical, legal, HADR and interoperability operations.
