From Kalinaw News (May 30, 2021): Army's CSP team secures DAR cash aid distribution to Guihulngan farmers
CAMP GERONA, Murcia, Negros Occidental- Personnel from Community Support Program Team of 32nd CMO Company under the operational control of 303rd Infantry Brigade provided security assistance to Guihulngan City local farmers during the Department of Agrarian Reform’s Check Distribution at Old Market Brgy. Pob., Guihulngan City, Negros Oriental on May 26, 2021 (Wednesday)
A total of 198 farmers from the City of Guihulngan, Negros Oriental received 1.1 Million pesos worth of check as Cash-Aid subsidy from the office of the Department of Agriculture.
It was attended by Guihulngan City Vice- Mayor Ernesto Reyes; Sangguniang Panglungsod Melbourne Bustamante; City Veterinary Doctor Niño Perez; Philippine Crop Insurace Corporation (PCIC) headed by Rene Ardiña; City Agricuturist Roberto Bustamante; Joel Cadiz, representative from Department of Agriculture and PNP SAF Police Lt. Lorenzo C Kimmayong Jr.
According to Colonel Inocencio Pasaporte, 303rd Infantry Brigade Commander, the check subsidy distribution will help alleviate the conditions of the local farmers in the area. It is given to you by the government through the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) to improve your lives and your respective families,” he added.
DAR is the lead government agency that holds and implements comprehensive and genuine agrarian reform which actualizes equitable land distribution, ownership, agricultural productivity, and tenurial security for, of, and with the tillers of the land towards the improvement of their quality of life.
