Bislig City, Surigao del Sur – The Provincial Government of Surigao del Sur through the Provincial Agriculturist Office, Department of Agriculture 13 in partnership with 48th Infantry (Guardians) Battalion and Bravo Company, 1504th CDC ARESCOM, 1504th Ready Reserve Infantry Battalion (RRIBn) and Gamma Epsilon Fraternity distributed food packs to Former Rebels in Purok 1, Brgy Maharlika, Bislig City on April 28, 2021.

As Community Pantries serve to be in the limelight in helping the less fortunate through the Bayanihan Spirit, the Provincial Agriculturist Office of Surigao del Sur likewise aims to provide the FR basic needs as they also continue to fight the COVID-19 pandemic.

41 food packs loaded with 20 kilos of rice and assorted goods were distributed by Surigao del Sur Provincial Agriculturist Mark Quico together with 1504th RRIBn Bravo Company Commander 1LT Wilfredo J. Valenzuela and 48IB CMO Officer 1LT Kinley S. Cocjin.

Lieutenant Colonel Enrique G. Rafael 48IB Acting Commander also expressed his appreciation to the assistance provided by the Provincial Agriculturist Office of Surigao del Sur and 1504th RRIBn to our FRs. It indicates that the Provincial Government of Surigao del Sur is sincere on their mandates to help their constituents particularly the FRs who are also willing to help the government as a whole to end local armed conflict.
