CAMP SIONGCO, Maguindanao – Two drug personalities were arrested while P6.8 million worth of shabu were confiscated in a joint anti-illegal drugs operation yesterday, November 7, 2019 in Shariff Aguak town of Maguindanao.
The joint anti-drug operating team from Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency of Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (PDEA-BARMM), Philippine Drug Enforcement Unit of Maguindanao Provincial Police Office, Shariff Aguak Municipal Police, and 1st Mechanized Infantry Battalion arrested the 2 suspects at around 12:00 noon along the national highway in Barangay Poblacion 2 of Shariff Aguak town.
The suspects, who were put under surveillance by the PDEA team, were identified as Samrod Mamasainged Damada a.k.a. Sam and Nordin Datala. Both are residents of Barangay Poblacion 2.
Seized from the suspects were a small bag containing at least 1 kilo suspected shabu, boodle money with one 1,000 peso bill, one M16A1 Colt AR-15 rifle, magazines loaded with 30 rounds of 5.56 ammunition, 68 rounds of 7.62mm Cartridge, assorted identification cards and a white Suzuki multicab with no plate number.
Joint Task Force Central Commander Maj. Gen. Diosdado C. Carreon said that JTF Central will always support the lead agencies in the conduct of anti-drug operation in support of the national government’s war against illegal drugs.
The suspects are now detained at the custodial facility of PDEA-BARMM in Cotabato City for proper disposition.
