NSFA, Panacan, Davao City - Eastmincom raised alert for disaster response with the recent earthquakes that struck different areas of Southern Mindanao.
Lt. General Felimon T. Santos Jr., Commander of Eastern Mindanao Command raised the alert level of all military units and directed the activation of their respective Disaster Response Unit or Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Response Task Force on October 31, 2019.
"Let us assist our local Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council of these affected areas and provide the capability our units can offer. While doing so, let us continue to be vigilant to ensure that terrorists will not take advantage of the situation," Lt Gen Santos Jr said in his directive.
The directive includes the preparation of the different assets from the Navy, Air Force, Army and the military engineers needed in the conduct of the disaster response.
