In a ceremony held last October 17, the Philippine Army commemorated the 2nd anniversary of the Liberation of Marawi at the Libingan ng mga Bayani.
“Today we pay tribute to the heroism of our fallen troops who paid the ultimate price in defense of our country. We remember [in this gathering] the spirit of victory and triumph of freedom,” said former Joint-Task Force Marawi Commander and now Department of Social Welfare and Development Secretary Rolando Joselito Baustista as he graced the event.
