MARAMAG, Bukidnon – The Militia ng Bayan (MB) who surrendered to the troops of 88th Infantry “Maringal” Battalion brought along with them 22 gallons of rice which were entrusted to them by the NPA terrorists belonging to Company Thunder of SRC2, NCMRC for safekeeping. Said supplies came from the different Sitios and Puroks of Barangay Banlag, Valencia City, Bukidnon which were forcibly taken from the poor families. The number of containers is equivalent to 11 sacks of rice.
These gallons of rice were left to us so that when the NPA returned near our area, they have something to eat. The NPA has no mercy, even the food for the family of poor farmers were taken for their consumption. With our surrender, we want to help the government by putting an end to this inhumane act of these terrorists. We don’t want to be utilized again and add sufferings to our fellow farmers.”
