BISLIG CITY, Surigao del Sur- Camp Jaime N Ferrer Sr, Brgy Maharlika, Bislig City (Stn) – The 75th Infantry (Marauder) Battalion, 4ID, PA celebrated the Father’s Day with the newly assigned privates at the Home of the Marauders at around 5:30 in the morning, June 16, 2019.

Newly assigned privates composed of Class-571 consists of CAFGUs, Former Rebels and IPs with their class name “TAGASUPIL” generally means “Tagasugpo at tagalipol na mga komunista ng Bayan” and the quota of regular Class-572 with their class name “PANGIL” which signifies their pride stating “Pangako sa isang Layunin sa batas ng Bayan.”

Prior of entering the military service, these ITDS soldiers were former members of Weakened Guerrilla Front 14 and Guerrilla Front 19 which confronted by the Marauder troopers that also surrendered to 75IB.

As part of the military traditions, Captain Marlon L Bagara, the Battalion Operations Officer, staff officers and enlisted personnel lead off the traditional Reception Rites of the twenty-nine (29) new breed of soldiers in order to embrace the camaraderie and esprit de corps of being a Marauder troopers.

​Moreover, after the traditional reception rites, Marauder Troopers celebrated the Father’s Day and enjoyed the Boodle Fight held at PICOP, Mangagoy, Bislig City that manifested the morale and strengthened the ties of solidarity and comradeship of the personnel.

“Home is the place where, when you have to go there, they have to take you in.”- quoted by an American poet Robert Frost in his poem and as the father of the Marauder troopers, congratulations and welcome to the Home of the Marauders. “I am very happy that some of you before fought against us but now you are one with us in accomplishing our mission, bring peace and fulfill our mandate of serving the people and securing the land.” Ang pagsusundalo ay hindi biro, marami pong sakripisyo and inyong matatamasa dito. He also reminded the troops that discipline is an individual responsibility. You are very lucky that you are in the noble profession of soldiery. Love your profession and love your job,” LTC DATUIN ended.
