These aspiring soldiers who will compose the CSC Class 606 and 607 – 2019 will undergo a rigid Candidate Soldier Course (CSC) cross trained with Jungle Warfare Mountain Operation Course (JWMOC).

The training that will be handled by the training staff of the 3rd Division Training School (3DTS) will instill discipline among candidate soldiers and make them adept in military doctrines, policies and Standing Operating Procedures (SOPs). They will also learn skills in basic weapons and Army Techniques, Tactics and Procedures (TTPs) in order to prepare them to perform duties in the Infantry Squad. The training will also transform them into reliable, responsive and committed enlisted personnel of the Philippine Army.

Out of 839 registered applicants, only 256 selected aspirants successfully passed the strict and meticulous selection processing standard set by the Philippine Army. They underwent a comprehensive and very competitive selection process that include passing the written, physical, and medical exams, trade test, board interviews, and completed the basic clearances from various government agencies.

Major General Dinoh Dolina, Commander 3ID who served as the keynote speaker led the opening of the training; witnessed by spearhead trooper officers and personnel, parents, and friends of the candidate soldiers.

In his message, MGen Dolina reminded the candidates soldiers that entering the military is not just another walk in the park. “Soldiers and warriors are not born, they are made. Soldiery is not just about courage and muscle, you will also encounter academic, aptitude and emotiuonal challenges. You will be subjected to extreme heat and pressure in order to bring out the best in you.”

Further, Dolina congratulated the CL 606 & 607-2019 for making a life-changing decision and thanked their parents and relatives for supporting their dreams .
