Amid the conduct of military operation, troops of the 35th Infantry Battalion nabbed one Abu Sayyaf Group member under sub-leader Mujiv Susukan in Port Area, Walled City, Jolo, Sulu at 7pm last Wednesday, May 8.

Aldi Hasim Minis a.k.a Gulam, 39 years old, male, married and a resident of Zone 3, Barangay Tulay, Jolo, Sulu has standing warrant of arrest with criminal case number 1787-3 at the Jolo Branch 3, 9th Judicial Region, RTC Sulu.


Recovered from Minis were 2 rounds of 40mm High Explosives (HE) and 5 rounds of Caliber .40 ammunition.

Apprehended personality and recovered items were then presented to 1102nd Brigade Commander Brigadier General Peter Angelo Ramos, after which he was brought to Kuta Heneral Teodulfo Bautista Station Hospital for medical check-up and custodial debriefing.

Minis is now in the custody of Sulu PNP for filing of appropriate charges and proper disposition.

“I commend the troops of the Joint Task Force Sulu for their outstanding accomplishments,” said Lieutenant General Arnel B. Dela Vega.

“Apart from our election duties for the national and local elections on Monday, our troops continue to conduct intensified military operations in our area of operations so as to prevent any untoward incident to happen,” added LtGen Dela Vega.
