Camp General Manuel T Yan Sr., Mawab, Davao de Oro – On May 27, 2019, 9:30am 205 Advance ROTC Cadets from 18 different colleges and universities in Region 11 finished their Academic Phase Training on Military Science (MS) 31-32 and MS 41-42. The closing and donning of ranks ceremony was held at Headquarters of 10th Infantry (Agila) Camp General Manuel T Yan Sr, Barangay Tuboran, Mawab, Davao de Oro.

As the program started, the Assistant Division Commander for Retirees and Reservists Affairs (RRA) of 10ID Colonel Rodrigo T Gregorio (INF) GSC PA welcomed the participants of the ceremony.

In his welcome remarks, Colonel Gregorio said, “10ID would like to thank 11RCDG and the cadets and cadettes for choosing us to host the last three days of the culmination phase of your training. We hope we were able to impart you with knowledge and skills and new perspective as you pursue your dreams of becoming leaders of our country. We wish all the best in your future journey.”

Subsequently, Colonel Gregorio led the donning of ranks and oath taking of three new Majors to be members of the 11th RCDG namely Major Roy B Ferrer (Res) PA- President and CEO, Philhealth; Major Lazaro M Atencio (Res) PA- Preaching Pastor; and Major Erwin O Montebon (Res) PA- School Principal

Colonel Maning S Tawantawan INF (GSC) PA, Group Commander, 11RCDG, ARESCOM presented the General Orders. Colonel Tawantawan proceeded with the declaration of graduates after Lieutenant Colonel Antonio O Abregana Jr (INF) PA, Training Director of MS 31/32 and 41/42 CL 01-2019 presented the graduating students.

Meanwhile, as the Guest of Honor and Speaker, Lieutenant Colonel Jayvee Tyron L Uy (Res) PA, Provincial Governor of Davao de Oro and Battalion Commander 1103RRIBn led the distribution of certificates and awards to the graduating students and gave his message. Gov Uy congratulated the students for completing the Advance ROTC Academic Phase Training and emphasized the importance of joining the reserve force of the AFP

As for 10ID, the Command congratulates the 11RCDG and its training directorate for having 205 Advance ROTC cadets graduated in their Academic Phase Training. For years, 11RCDG supported 10ID’s conduct of Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Response. Being in the reserve force, one can have the privilege of serving the country in time of peace and ready to perform combat duties in times of war.
