Soldiers from 6th Infantry (Redskin) Battalion joined teachers and parents in preparing for the opening of various schools in Balabagan, Lanao del Sur.
Anchored on the theme, “Matatag na Bayan para sa Maunlad na Paaralan,” the “Brigada Eskwela” kicked off in Lanao del Sur on May 20.
Armed with the vision to support the education of the young generation, Reskin Battalion officers and personnel worked hand in hand with district supervisors, school heads, teachers, and students to make sure that all school facilities will be ready before the start of the classes.
“Manpower and technical assistance will always be provided by our troops to foster a conducive learning environment, putting in mind the role of the youth in nation-building,” said Lieutenant General Arnel Dela Vega, Western Mindanao Command chief.
“We always push for programs that prioritize the education and development of children, especially in conflict-affected areas in Mindanao,” he added.
