Joint Task Force Central Commander, Major General Cirilito E. Sobejana together with his general, special, personal and technical staff visited the wounded personnel that are recuperating at Camp Siongco Station Hospital yesterday (April 15, 2019).
Major General Sobejana recognized the gallantry of the soldiers who incurred injuries in the recent campaign against the Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters (BIFF) and the Dawlah Islamiyah Turaife Group (DITG) in the areas of Salibo, Pagatin, Mamasapano and Shariff Aguak (SPMS) box in Maguindanao.
Conferred with the Wounded Personnel Medal were SSg Joel Umoquit, PFC Vincent Ray Estifano, PFC Isaias Espanola, PFC Joel Dela Cruz, PFC Kenneth Kris Ferrer, PFC Richard Ambio and PFC John Rey Paris.
They also received cash reward and gift pack for their faithful service.
“I will honor all soldiers who performed very well in their assigned mission,” said Major General Sobejana.
“I am recognizing their exemplary courage in combat and make sure that they will receive the full assistance while recuperating,” MGen Sobejana added.
Western Mindanao Command Chief, Lieutenant General Arnel Dela Vega, lauded the battle casualties for their bravery.
“I give my highest commendations to them. Truly, they are our modern heroes, they are willing to die for our country and for the people,” LtGen Dela Vega added.
