“The reason why we are including the 39 barangays in North Cotabato, 6 municipalities in Lanao del Norte and others including the contiguous areas who petitioned for inclusion in the future Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) is so that they could share from the fruits of our struggle,” MILF Chairman Al Haj Murad Ebrahim said during a big gathering on Bangsamoro Organic Law (BOL) at the North Cotabato Provincial Capitol, Amas, Kidapawan on January 12.

 “They had been our partners in the struggle for more than 40 decades and they should be together with us on any benefits we will enjoy in the future. At any rate, in the BOL, whether or not, they are part of the BARMM, they can still be entitled for some assistance from the BARMM, “Al Haj Murad added.

The assembly was preceded by quite a long caravan of large trucks, medium size vehicles, light cars and motor cycles from nearby municipalities of Kidapawan City. The caravan was facilitated by the Chief of MILF Local Monitoring Team Habib Guiabar of Kabacan.

Other important guests were OPPAP Secretary Carlito Galvez, Jr. who spoke on “Yes to BOL as gaining grounds in Sulu and in Marawi City”. North Cotabato Vice Gov. Neneng Macasarte said: “Tuldokan na natin ang gulo through yes to BOL”.

Datu Muslimin Sema, Chairman of the Bangsamoro National Congress reaffirmed “Yes to BOL”. Mayor Roger Taliño of Carmen, Cotabato declared “My stand is final- yes to BOL”.

Mayor Eliseo Garcisa of Pigcawayan stressed “The giant size of this gathering is identical to the giant size of how we beseech for peace with yes to BOL”.

Gov. Taliño-Mendoza said the “Yes to BOL will provide path to peace”. MILF Bangsamoro Islamic Armed Forces (BIAF) Chief Sammy Al Mansoor assured that” IF BOL is ratified, we will be decommissioning our arms and our forces”. OPPAP Undersecretary Nabil Tan said, “We are truly ready for peace and development with yes to BOL”.

Equally important guests who pronounced unanimous yes to BOL were North Cotabato Board Member Mohammad “Kelly” Antao, Mayor Herlo Guzman, Jr. of Kabacan, Mayor Sumulong Sultan of Pikit, and high ranking officers of the AFP.

The Provincial Gym is pervaded with crowd composed of other officials and employees of the province, MILF commanders and civilians. They all shouted Yes to the BOL.
