Camp Aquino, Tarlac City – Northern Luzon Command’s 703rd Infantry Brigade from the 7th Infantry Division (7ID) together with the Nueva Ecija Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG), Philippine National Police (PNP) apprehended “Ka Puti” in Brgy. Paco Roman Rizal, Nueva Ecija on January 09, 2019, Wednesday at around 6 in the morning. The subject was reported as contact person/courier of members of Kilusang Sierra Madre.
A Search Warrant was issued last January 08, 2019 by Hon Ana Marie Joson-Viterbo, Executive Judge of the Regional Trial Court of Cabanatuan, Nueva Ecija against said personality for violation of RA 10591, an act providing for a comprehensive law on firearms and ammunition and providing penalties for violations thereof.
The following are the recovered items from the Search Operations: One (1) Caliber 45 pistol, one (1) magazine assembly for Caliber 45, one (1) stainless magazine assembly for Caliber 45, one (1) magazine assembly for M16 rifle, all of which were loaded with live ammunition.
The subject is currently detained at Nueva Ecija detention facility and violation of RA 10591 is being prepared against the subject person.
NOLCOM will heighten collaborative efforts with the PNP in combatting threats to the peace, security, and development in NOLCOM’s area of responsibility.
