Kabuntalan, Maguindanao - Quoting the words of the Late Ameerul Mujahideen, Sheikh Salamat Salamat, “I have plant the seed of Jihad fiy Sabilillah in the minds and hearts of young generations,” so then, I encourage everyone let us walk together for the next level of this struggle, in shaa Allah,” Al Haj Murad Ebrahim, Chair of the MILF said in his message during the Multi-Sectoral Assembly for Bangsamoro Organic Law (BOL) held at the village of Gambar, this town on December 30.

The huge crowd was estimated at more than 50,000 individuals.

Newly appointed Secretary of the Office of the Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process (OPAPP), and former AFP Chief of Staff Gen. Carlito Galvez, Jr graced the occasion.

Sec. Galvez said, “Pinapangako kong pupuntahan ko lahat ng Base Command, hindi ko po kayo pababayaan. We will make sure that the Bangsamoro Organic Law (B.O.L.) ratification will be successful. And we will face all those challenges along the way.”

In his opening statement, Bangsamoro Islamic Armed Forces Chief of Staff of the MILFAbdulraof Macacua popularly known as Sammy Al Mansor reminisced some memorable and significant events happened in his birthplace during the height of the revolution spearheaded by the Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF). One of them is that Gambar became a rendezvous of MNLF commanders where they held decision-makings in furtherance of the Moro struggle.

He added that the assembly is for the purpose of unifying the people for the ratification of the Organic Law and letting them feel its inclusivity and benefits.

“The mere presence of Secretary Galvez, Jr is a clear manifestation that the government is sincere at ending the Mindanao problem that took the lives of more than a hundred thousand people, and about half a million sought refuge in neighboring Sabah, Malaysia, “Al Mansoor further said.

“We are here to talk about the organic law that is the fruit of our struggle, and to unify our stand by voting YES during plebiscite on January 21st,” Al Mansoor said.
