ISABELA CITY- Thousands of people gathered to join and support the campaign on Bangsamoro Organic Law (BOL) today, January 7. It was led by the Moro Islamic Liberation Front Chairman Al Haj Murad Ebrahim.
Al Haj Murad in his message said, "Nandito ako hindi para mangampanya kundi para umapela na bigyan natin ng chance ang mga taong nagsakripisyo, na lahat tayo ay madama ang bunga ng ating struggle".
"Sigurado kami na sa area ng ARMM ay panalo ang YES, gusto natin na mapasok ang lahat ng community ng Bangsamoro dahil gusto natin na ang lahat ay mag benefit sa BOL". he added.
Other prominent personalities who graced the event were Chairman of MILF Peace Implementing Panel Mohagher Iqbal, OPAPP-Asec. Dickson Hermoso, ARMM Regional Governor Mujiv S. Hataman, Governor Jim S. Hataman Salliman, Vice Governor Yusop T. Alano, Chairman of Basilan Supreme Council Dr. Aboulkhair S. Tarason, Chapter President of League of Municipalities Hanie A. Bud, Mayors, Barangay Captains, and MILF-BIAF Commanders.
Iqbal in his message cited the provisions of BOL that migrant settlers can exercise their rights on freedom of religion; practice their customs and beliefs, organize a political party, and with reserved seat in the Bangsamoro Parliament.
“Christian can also file a case against the Muslims before the Sharia’h Court if he/’she chooses to, and the land title that they owned legally shall be recognized and respected, “he added.
"Nandito na tayo sa ikalawang yugto ng peace process at yan ay ang BOL, hindi ito kaya ng Presidente mag-isa kaya ating kumbinsihin ang bawat isa na bomuto ng YES sa darating na plebisito sa January 21", OPAPP ASEC Dickson Hermoso stressed during his message of support.
"Kung naramdaman ninyo ang ARMM sa loob ng pitong taon, sigurado ako na mas mararamdaman ninyo ang BARMM", Gov. Hataman said.
