Parang, Maguindanao- The Action Consolidated Cooperation, Inc. (ACCI) in collaboration with the Bangsamoro Engineers Group (BEG) and Barangay Local Government Unit of Polloc conducted a Yes to BOL Campaign on January 5, 2019 at Freeport, Barangay Polloc, Parang, Maguindanao.
The program was supported by the 7th Brigade of Inner Guard National Guard of Bangsamoro Islamic Armed Forces (IGNG-BIAF) of Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) under the command of Brigade Commander H. Basher Ampat.
Barangay Chairman Abubakar U. Abdul of Barangay Polloc, Parang, Maguindanao delivered the opening remarks and made a commitment of “zero vote for NO” in his barangay during the plebiscite on January 21st. Barangay Polloc has more than five thousand registered voters.
Atty. Lanang Ali, Jr., Legal Consultant of BTC Commissioner Mohagher Iqbal delved on the salient provision of BOL particularly the provisions on Fiscal, Political Autonomy and the Sharia’h Justice System.
He also emphasized the Transitional Justice and Reconciliation Commission that will address the legitimate grievances of the Bangsamoro.
The open forum followed with some questions raised by some participants. They focused mainly on the issue of Pantawid Pamilya Pilipino Program or 4P’s. He said that the 4P’s is a government program where the Bangsamoro Government could possibly improve or expand.
Mr. Nas Pulindao, MILF Information Officer touched on the contents of the signed agreements between the Government of the Philippines and the MILF.
He also mentioned the three forms of struggles that the Moro people had undergone, such as the Armed struggle, political struggle where the MILF negotiated with the GPH to resolve the Bangsamoro Question, and the democratic struggle where the Moro Front will participate in a political exercise after the term of the Bangsamoro Transition Authority (BTA) ends.
Pulindao also mentioned the source of the BOLS namely, the Framework Agreement on the Bangsamoro (FAB)and its annexes, and the Comprehensive Agreements on the Bangsamoro (CAB) and the Republic Act No.9054 or the 1996 Final Peace Accord (FPA) between the GPH and the MNLF.
The ACCI expressed its gratitude to the two speakers who clearly explained the important provisions of BOL.
ACCI is headed by Engineer Mohammad Abubakar, President, and Mohaimen Phari, Vice President. Other officers and staff of ACCI were also in attendance.
