NDF-Negros propaganda statement posted to the Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) Website (Jul 13): Localized peace talks will fail

Localized peace talks is designed to smokescreen the brutal and ruthless all-out war that has beset the country and divert attention from Duterte’s unwillingness to pursue agrarian reform, national industrialization and national sovereignty. It is intended to induce disunity and division among revolutionaries towards capitulation.
But localized peace talks is bound to fail.
The US-Duterte regime has failed to address the root of the on-going civil war and Duterte instead chose to carry on with imperialist puppetry and the fascist and bureaucrat capitalist tradition of his predecessors. His rhetoric, demagoguery and strong-man rule have earned the outrage of the people and have left them with no choice but to revolt against the current system.
The revolutionary forces in Negros, under the leadership of the Communist Party of the Philippines, is united with the revolutionary movement nationwide in its national democratic principles and is ever more determined to forward the Filipino people’s aspirations of genuine and lasting peace. It rallies behind the Negotiating Panel of the National Democratic Front of the Philippines as representative of all revolutionary forces in the GRP-NDFP peace negotiations. It stands by the previously agreed upon documents such as the Hague Joint Declaration, the Joint Agreement on Safety and Immunity Guarantees, and the Comprehensive Agreement on Respect of Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law. It recognizes and adheres to the guidance and wisdom of CPP Founding Chairman Jose Maria Sison.
Peddlers of localized peace talks in the US-Duterte regime are obviously indifferent to the dire conditions of the Filipino people that is not exclusive to individual communities but occurs to the whole nation. They play blind to the every day struggle of Filipinos such as skyrocketing prices of basic commodities worsened by additional tax burdens, massive hunger, unemployment, landlessness and homelessness. They only see the interests of their imperialist US master and warmonger-dictator boss, Duterte. To their dismay the Filipinos especially the revolutionary forces can see through the scheming and militarist intentions of peace-loving poseurs like Delfin Lorenzana, Hermogenes Esperon and Eduardo Año and their local counterparts namely Gov. Alfredo Marañon, Col. Alberto Desoyo and others.
Ultimately, the collapse of the GRP-NDFP Peace Talks is the Duterte regimes’s own doing and so will be the failure of its localized peace talks scheme.
