Lt. Col. Elrick Paraso’s claim that the NPA in North Cotabato is threatening to conduct “purging” of its members who will surrender is an utter fabrication. According to Lt. Col. Paraso, commanding officer of the 19th IB-AFP, many NPA members “are willing to surrender but were threatened with summary execution”.
The fascist AFP is clearly inventing yarns to enshroud the issues of fake and forced surrender of civilians arbitrarily accused as NPA members or supporters.
In spreading aspersions against the revolutionary movement, the state is actually exposing its terrorism and rottenness all the more. The AFP’s ostensive concern for the alleged “purging” is a ploy to hold the NPA accountable for the looming escalation of extrajudicial killings of activists and civilians. The military agents are seemingly verging on carrying out the butchery in order to “prove” AFP’s fabrications.
The AFP is inexorably causing harrowing chaos to the people with the intention of crashing down the revolutionary movement. But the US-Duterte regime’s terror and violence would only exacerbate social crisis and ignite people’s resistance.
Duterte’s tyrant and fascist rule will be defeated decisively by the Filipino people who fight for genuine peace and democracy.
