CAMP SERVILLANO AQUINO, Tarlac City (DWDD) – The Northern Luzon Command (NOLCOM) troops, from the Joint Task Force (JTF) “Kaugnay” of the 7th Infantry Division, Philippine Army, seized two (2) encampments of the Communist New People’s Army Terrorist Groups (CNTGs) in Central Luzon on March 24, 2018.
The first NPA camp was discovered at 8:30 in the morning while the 72nd Division Recon Company (DRC) were conducting combat operations in the vicinity of Barangay. Bachelor, Natividad, Pangasinan.
Said encampment, which can accommodate at least thirty (30) Communist NPA Terrorists (CNTs), was abandoned several days ago.
In a separate incident at 9:00 AM of same day, the second NPA encampment was seized in Sitio Lising (also known as Camp Lenlen), Brgy Capintalan, Carranglan, Nueva Ecija by the same unit of the Philippine Army. The NPA camp was believed to have been abandoned more than a week ago.
The discovery of these NPA encampments deny them the opportunity of planning out their hostile activities and reduce ther maneuver space as NOLCOM troops keep the terrorist groups on the run and out-balanced. Establishing encampments provide them the safe-haven and are used as staging area prior to the conduct of their tactical offensives.
