PUERTO PRINSESA., Palawan (DWDD) – As the Philippine Air Force embarks on the development of a more capable and credible air force, the Tactical Operations Wing West formally deactivated its two Units, the 571st Support Group and 572nd Logistics Group; Reactivated and Redesignated the 571st ABG into 570st ABG and lastly welcomed the newly installed Commander of 570th ABG, Lt. Col Nestor A Etis PAF (GSC) in a simple ceremony held today, February 19, 2018, at Antonio Bautista Air Base, Puerto Princesa City, Palawan with Col Nestor Florente DC Rayos PAF (GSC), Wing Commander of TOW West and the guest of honor.
In the speech of the newly installed Commander of 570th ABG, the merging of the former 571st Support Group and 572nd Logistics Group into one group will streamline their functionalities thus improving their level of efficiency and effectiveness in performing their mandated mission.
Finally, the Wing Commander of TOW West, Col Rayos PAF (GSC) challenge all Air Sentinels to prepare for future challenges as the Air Force is making its way to the completion of its functional reorganization. TOW WEST
