CAMP SIONGCO, Awang, Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao (DWDD) – Five members of the communist/terror group New People’s Army surrendered with their firearms to the combined troops of the 57th Infantry Battalion and Marine Battalion Landing Team-2 in Brgy Nililidan, Kalamansig, Sultan Kudarat early morning of 0ctober 16, 2017.

According to reports, the rebels belong to the Platoon Myphone of Guerilla Front 73.

The surrenderees turned-over one (1) M16 rifle, one (1) M14 rifle and one (1) Ultimax caliber 5.62 rifle.

“This is one of the positive outcomes of an effective collaboration between the military and the civil authorities”, Major General Dela Vega said. 57IB/MBLT2/MCAG
