From DWDD AFP Civil Relations Service Radio Website (Sep 20): AIM HIGH | IP Tribal Outreach Program at Brooke’s Point
BROOKE’S POINT, Palawan (DWDD) – The Local Government Unit (LGU) of Brooke’s Point, Palawan conducted another “IP Tribal Outreach Program” for Indigenous People living in the southernmost portion of the province.
The activity is part of the government’s public service and giving importance to IPs.
The warm welcome rendered by the people of Sitio Kelwi is a strong manifestation of their support for the government and resistance to the pretentious and deceptive tactics of the communist/terrorist New People’s Army (NPA).
The services rendered to the Pala’wan includes free Medical check-up, livebirth registration, Philthealth membership, immunization, and the distribution of vegetable seedlings, medicines for livestock, and, anti-rabies vaccine.
The Provincial Government of Palawan also distributed healthy meals, additional medicines and vitamins for the IPs.
They also gave books and school supplies, empty water containers, white board, and different kitchen utensils for the Kelwi Elementary School.
Packages containing various food items, rice, sandals and clothes, school bags were given to students.
Pala’wan kids were given candies and chocolates.
Residents and IPs were grateful for all of these blessing from the LGU Brooke’s Point, Provincial Government of Palawan, Brgy Saraza, Brooke Point, PIGLAS-Palawan, One Arellano Builders, KIWANIS Club of Palawan, KIWANIS Club of PPC, Cardinal AGRI, Ms. Catherine Barraquillo and Secret Happy Giver, the 3rd Marine Brigade and the AFP Western Command.
