CAMP GEN ALFREDO M SANTOS, Calauag, Quezon (DWDD) – Major General Rhoderick M Parayno, Commander of the 2nd Infantry (Jungle Fighter) Division presided over the change of command ceremony of 201st Infantry (Kabalikat) Brigade yesterday, August 23, 2017 at 201st Brigade Headquarters, Camp General Alfredo M Santos in Calauag, Quezon.

Brigadier General Lenard T Agustin relinquished the command of 201st Infantry Brigade (201Bde) of 2nd Infantry “Jungle Fighter” Division prior his assumption as Assistant Division Commander of the 10th Infantry “Agila” Division based in Camp General Manuel T Yan Sr., Brgy Tuboran, Mawab, Compostella Valley.

MGen Parayno expressed his deepest appreciation to the accomplishments contributed by BGen Agustin to the 2ID, AFP and the country as a whole. MGen Parayno also conveyed his profound and heartfelt thanks to the officers and men of 201st Brigade for supporting BGen Agustin during his stint as commander. “Under your great leadership, the Kabalikat Troopers spared no time in winning the peace in the Provinces of Quezon and Marinduque” remarked MGen Parayno in his speech.

Colonel Elias H Escarcha was designated as Acting Commander of 201st Brigade. “I am sure that you will continue the legacy of your predecessor and classmate” MGen Parayno added.

Both BGen Agustin and Col Escarcha are members of the Philippine Military Academy “Sinagtala” Class of 1986 and are recipients of various awards both from military and civilian sectors. 2ID / MCAG
