CJVAB, Pasay City (DWDD) – With the theme, “Philippine Air Force Nursing Service at 43: United Caring Force through Greater Heights in the Promotion of Goodwill and a Healthy Community,” the PAF Nursing Service celebrated its 43rd Anniversary in a simple yet meaningful manner on August 15, 2016 at Lakambini Hall, Officers Ladies Club, CJVAB, Pasay City.
This year’s activity kicked off with a thanksgiving mass to bring back the glory of God and acknowledge the faithfulness of all members of the active and retired Nursing Services. Highlighted during the event was the presentation of awards and plaque of recognition to the following registered nurses for their utmost dedication and commitment for the past 25 years and above in the service:

Prior to afternoon activity, an outreach program was conducted for the Home of the Elders of San Lorenzo Ruiz in Pasay City. The outreach program included a film viewing and gift giving to 43 elderly residents.
Chief Nurse, Air Force Col Helen N Roxas NC (GSC) thanked all the Nursing Service personnel for their sacrifices, faithfulness, and commitment to the country and to the Filipino people. During their visit at the home of the elderly, she reminded everyone to cherish the moment to take care of their parents and never treat them as a burden. The activity is a great opportunity to serve God and show their gratitude for molding and leading them to the right path. She also shared a quote that says, ” Love your parents and treat them with loving care for you will only know their value when you see that empty chair.” PAF PIO / MCAG Photo by: A1C
