Incoming Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Ronald Dela
Rosa is now taking extra precautions due to the increased bounty from drug
lords for him and president-elect Rodrigo Duterte allegedly imposed by drug
lords.
According to the reports, drug lords increased their bounty
for the president-elect and the incoming PNP chief to PHP50 million for there
were no takers of the initial bounty worth PHP10 million.
“Yes. We are on full alert always. Bring it on,” Dela Rosa answered
when asked in an interview if he is taking extra precaution to the said bounty.
With or without threats, Dela Rosa noted that he and his
force will be conducting actions for what the drug personalities have done.
“Don’t take this personally, we are only doing our jobs,” he
said.
“I want them (drug lords) dead if they fight back,” he
cleared that it will be murder if there were no orders to kill them.
Dela Rosa also assured he will exert numerous efforts to
curb illegal drugs.
”Hindi naman talaga ito masusugpo. It’s impossible na ma
zero sa akin talaga is pababain to the lowest possible level yung crime at saka
drugs. paano gagawin, hindi ko ilalatag mamaya malaman nila. magfail tayo dahil
nalaman na nung mga kalaban. basta sa mga kalaban magugulat na lang sila,” the
former chief of Davao City Police Office (DCPO) said.
He also asked the public to cooperate with the PNP to
accomplish the three to six months campaign.
”Sa taumbayan we are pleading for your cooperation. This is
the golden moment not only for the PNP but kung hindi for the whole Filipino
nation dahil nakikita natin yung desire, so sa PNP we have to exploit the
situation. This is the golden opportunity for us to once and for all solve this
problem,” De la Rosa said, who was picked by the President elect Rodrigo
Duterte to be the next PNP chief.
